A little history about Cheyenne AND The Blue Coyote!

BIO: In 1989 Cheyenne left her home in Miami and moved west to pursue her dream of becoming a photographer and writer. She arrived in San Diego and got right to work. Cheyenne spent the next 17 + years criss-crossing the Southwest & West photographing and writing about the scenic and cultural wonders of the area. Being born and raised on the beaches of South Florida she never dreamt of the amazing wonders that she would see and learn about while traveling around the Southwest & West - she is still fascinated with and feels very connected to this area of the US.

In 1998 Cheyenne relocated to Park City, Utah to be closer to the mountains and desert that she spent so much time photographing. Eventually, she became known for her inspiring and dramatic Adventure Sports, Scenic and Health/Fitness images which included Yoga, Hiking, Mountain climbing, Ice Climbing, Backpacking & Camping. In addition to her impressive list of photo credits Cheyenne is an accomplished mountain climber, having summited some of the highest peaks in the lower 48 including 2 climbs up the Emmons Glacier on Mt. Rainier, the Exum Direct on the Grand Teton and a winter ascent up Mt Whitney - just to name a few. Cheyenne is also a published author with 2 books to her credit; "Camping - An Outdoor Action Guide" and "Photographing Utah"
While she hung up her "climbing shoes" along with her "film" camera in 2002, Cheyennes images still sell internationally through her worldwide stock photo agents and are used in numerous publications around the world. Her adventure sports photography website is available to view at: http://www.cheyennerouse.com/

During her years traveling the SW Cheyenne saw coyotes on a regular basis and become very fond of them - they seemed to always be watching her and very curious about what she was doing. It was then that she started to form the character aka her "alter ego", Cheyenne The Blue Coyote in her mind. Over the last 15 years or so she kept thinking about this cute little character and wondering how she could make her come to life, she feels now is the time to introduce Cheyenne to the world through the website http://www.cheyennethebluecoyote.com/ as well as a series of children's books to come.

The search is on for the perfect illustrating partner - this is a very personal project for Cheyenne so the illustrator that she chooses will be a very important part of bringing Cheyenne The Blue Coyote to life.

Welcome!

Welcome to our NEW blog - Cheyenne The Blue Coyote is a long time dream of mine that is slowly coming to life. She is a curious little coyote who travels the SW deserts hiking, camping, exploring and meeting new friends - she is also very concerned about spreading the word on recycling and taking care of Mother Earth like she takes care of us.

I am in the process of selecting an illustrator to make Cheyenne The Blue Coyote come to life - I have SO many wonderful artists to choose from and know that one of them can make my vision a reality! I have BIG plans for this cute little character - she will fist debut on the website: http://www.cheyennethebluecoyote.com/ and then a book series for children is planned - I am sure more plans will be made as time goes on but for now this is it....

Thanks for visiting and check back often!
